I am fairly new to amateur radio as i have been a radio amateur for about a month. I am thirteen and am usually only active on CW. I use a Kent Twin Paddle Key but own and somtimes use a Highmound 708 Paddle Key and a Kent Hand Key. I use my dads (M3UCW) rig which is a Kenwood TS-830s and Kenwood TS-430.

Cable connections and Antenna parts being off I know can create an erratic SWR with Trap Vertical and other Antennas. What might be any possible other causes? Weather?
