So the best of my world surrounds me (well almost, couldn't get my XYL to to get in the photo). For over 30 years I have enjoyed one Ten-Tec transceiver and then another. Today, I am lucky to have a nice assortment of those wonderful transceivers at my finger tips. There are a few more to add (when my XYL isn't looking), but for now the daily arsenal includes my Orion, Corsair II, Omni-C, Triton IV, Argosy, Scout, and a Century 22.... all ready, working, and worked.. sometimes daily!
My companion's name is Scout.... (yes, but he is named after one of my favorite characters from "To Kill a Mockingbird").
73 from Fairfield, CA, Solano County!

Is there a modern solid-state equivalent, either kit, homebrew, or wired, for the traditional 6L6 xtal rig?
